Learning is not simply contained within the four walls of a classroom, it can happen anywhere!
Our award winning support was developed through years of working within education and a wealth of training and knowledge developed within the outdoor environment. We understand how to create exciting and interesting sessions that will help children grow, learn and develop and build staffs confidence in delivering lessons outdoors.
We love working with a range of educational settings, creating bespoke programmes to help your staff take learning into the playground, woodland or beyond!
“When I think of my youth, I remember being outside, playing and exploring. It taught me a wealth of skills I still use today. I aim to give your child the same opportunities.”
Carol Murdoch, Founder of Love Outdoor Learning
Training
Every school is unique, the challenges and demands they face vary . As teachers, we spent too many hours in training which did not meet our needs. This is why every training session is designed in consultation with you, to ensure you receive everything you need.
We can support you for a single day to a full year helping equip your staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take learning into the playground and beyond.
Our award winning online portal provides you with lessons, curricular maps, training and in depth support for your whole team.
From pupil experience days, whole school days and even intervention programmes, we have something to benefit children of all ages and stages.
Our workshops are fun, informative and can be delivered in your school grounds.
Our innovative integration programme helps children understand their thoughts and feelings, teaching them coping strategies, breathing techniques while undertaking outdoor skills which will build their confidence, resilience and team working skills.
We also provide regular woodland sessions to classes to help them take their learning outdoors.
I really like the groups for 2-5year olds as parents are involved. So many other classes are just drop of and collect from 3 years onwards and I really miss being part of Quentin’s development and seeing how he evolves.

I love this page! I am a primary teacher who likes a classroom and to teach kids from P4 up. The activities we’ve done have been the most fun and engaging learning we’ve done during lockdown. Logan loves being outside and working with natural resources. It’s helped his imagination, counting, mark making, creativity, motor skills and speech. I’d 100% recommend Love Outdoor Learning.

Carol and Ashleigh are just amazing. My boys love them both and every activity is focused on their development as well as using nature. Absolutely fabulous.

The children had a fantastic experience. The session developed lots of different skills when den building e.g. cooperation, teamwork, problem solving, observation, engineering, listening and talking.
We would love to have you back!

CLD Youth Services have successfully worked in partnership with Love Outdoor learning for several years and have found the whole process from booking, organising, delivery and evaluating sessions very efficient, welcoming and knowledgeable. Carol and staff have great approach with young people and are very responsive to needs of young people and to the environment in which workshops are delivered.
